#Glynngaged Party

Caution: Before reading, know this post is a lot about the craftiness and amazingness of my engagement party. So if you don't care, then look no further, because I am about to get real pinteresty on you...

The engagement party was a complete success! But, it took a whole month of planning with my expert planners, my maid of honor, Nataly, and one of my bridesmaids, Chelsea!

I wanted it to be valentine's day themed. But, not valentines day threw up with pink and red. But, super classy with doing, red, black, white, and gold. Lots of Pinterest inspiration led our ideas. Basically everything that we put together, was straight from pinterest, so I would like to take a moment to thank the pinterest gods. Without them, my engagement party might of just been a bottle of wine and some crackers!

The first huge dilemma was where?! Luckily, the best man, Grant, convinced his wonderful parents to have it at their beautiful home. We were invited over to their house, and we planned and plotted where everything would go. The rest was just executing all our ideas into realities.

I wanted the atmosphere to be classy, radiate hello adulthood and engagement life! I envisioned a light fun night filled with laughter and great conversations. No hard alcohol, just SANGRIA (capital letters because it is my favorite), beer, and champagne, also lets be honest, most of our friends aren't the most well behaved when it comes to them and alcohol !! Only desserts, but of course only my favorites were included in that. Matt insisted on there being corn dogs (he has an obsession), but I absolutely would not allow it. He also insists on them being apart of our wedding somehow, but this is a separate issue. But, the Best Man, of course being the Best Man, got the man his corn dogs! So, everyone was happy!

Here is some pictures that the craft queen took through the process of our interest inspired ideas!

The hugest project was the photo booth we wanted to do. Nataly came up with this vision of having a back drop! Making the back drop consisted of her punching out a million in one circles (the hole puncher she bought she claims is the best purchase she has ever made)! After punching out the circles, she glued them to butcher paper. She overlapped them so they had a scalloped effect. Of course we added glitter to them for a little sparkle (side note: glitter is everything).

She laid them out to measure how many circles more she needed to punch out
The final product of the photo booth! We of course had the most adorable props with chalk board signs and fun little glasses and boas.

You would think my MOH would stop here, but no she went craft crazy! Which, is exactly why she is the best MOH anyone could ever ask for.

The yummy spread of the desserts bar

This table was for the guests to write us valentine's day letter and also sign wine bottles. The wine bottles will most likely be sealed in a wooden box on the day of our wedding to open again a year later one our wedding anniversary. Mostly everything on this table was pinterest inspired, especially the chevron back drops with the cute banner hearts (snaps for Nataly, for doing an amazing job with this).
Notice the #hashtag sign! Nataly made this perfect sign! We encouraged all party goers to hashtag all social media with these two hashtags! #glynngaged & #mrandmrsglynn

Nataly also did all the cute personal details, I just obsessed over this cute little gold frames that labeled each item on the tables!

LOVE POTION AKA SANGRIA! Recipe soon to come on a later blog post!

I died over this! Probably my most favorite part of the whole event! It is totally in the little things that make me the happiest!

Of course the Champagne! My mom and I froze the raspberries and put them in for a cute little decor, but also a yummy treat at the end of your drink!

I am in love with these sparkle GLITTER Letters! We all know how I feel about glitter! Chelsea modge podged this, and they turned out fabulous.  I am excited most excited about this craft because this is one I can potenitally use as the wedding too and as well as in our home too. Side note: I am a little obsessed with modge podge, and if I could I would modge podge  everything in life.

The most exciting part of the event is that I got to celebrate Matt's and I engagement with all of our favorite people in one night. It meant more to me than anything to have all of our friends and family there. It was extremely touching to both of us to feel the love from our friends and have their support. While Matt and I were on our way home, we kept saying that we are so lucky to have such amazing friends. Friends that really reflect our values as people and who truly care about us not only as individuals, but in our future together. I really hope everyone who came and enjoyed Matt's and I company, had just as much fun as we did! We thank everyone so much for coming and celebrating with us. The engagement party was a thousand times more perfect than I could of ever imagined. I absolutely could not of done it with out the help of my my mother, Nataly, Chelsea, the Waltons, and of course my other half Matthew. We are absolutely so excited to be engaged. I still pinch myself everyday I wake up and see my beautiful ring on my finger.

Thank you for all your unconditional love you show us<3

XOXO,

Soon to be Mrs. Glynn
